Email Your Guide

Like all the Guides at About.com, I'm a real person. You can email me at depression.guide@about.com. I do ask, however, that before you write to me you take a few moments to search my site and make sure I haven't already answered your question. Chances are I've already written an article or FAQ on exactly the same topic. You can also find a wealth of information by posting to the forum and asking other people what they have learned or experienced. If you still cannot find the answer that you are seeking, I will be happy to help you locate the information. Thank you for your cooperation!

F.A.Q.

  1. Q. I'm writing a paper about depression. Please send me some information.
    A. Unfortunately the whole point of writing a paper is to learn to do research so you will have to do a little work to find this information, but I can help you out by explaining how this site is organized so you can find the information for yourself. In the right column you will find topics under Articles and Resources. These topics are divided into subtopics. You can click through this to explore specific topic areas. You may also type keywords into the search box to explore the site.
  2. Q. Can you give me medical advice?
    A. No. It's both illegal and unethical for me to dispense medical advice. Check with your doctor or pharmacist as appropriate for the advice that you need.
  3. Q. I have a book/product for you to consider for review. What should I do?
    A. Write to me with the details and I will let you know where to go from there. Books submitted for review must be directly relevant to the topic of depression. In general, I do not endorse any products. If you are seeking to advertize on this site, please visit http://beanadvertiser.about.com/.
  4. Q. How do I submit a link for consideration?
    A. Email me at depression.guide@about.com. Please, no commercial sites. They will be automatically rejected. See the FAQ above for information about advertizing on this site.
  5. Q. I'm experiencing a technical problem with the forum. Whom should I contact?
  6. Q. I have a question not answered in this FAQ. Now what?
    A. The search box is a quick way to find out if I have information about a specific topic on my site. I recommend using this before emailing me to get the quickest answer to your question.
